Designed to equip you for the ever-changing ecotourism sector, this outdoor adventure diploma rests on three foundational elements:
Adventure Expedition
Interpretive Naturalist
Business Entrepreneurship
Your studies will encompass marketing and business tactics, combined with ecological and scientific coursework covering plant and animal life, geology, adventure guiding, environmental education, protected area management, and wilderness first aid.
Upon completing the program, students can earn more than 16 specialized outdoor certifications, equipping them with diverse skills for success across multiple related fields. Graduates will emerge with a comprehensive understanding of nature, along with expertise in conservation, tourism, and business aspects of the adventure sector.
This two-year Ontario College Diploma program in Adventure Expeditions and Interpretive Leadership delivers essential training, hands-on skills, and real-world ecotourism experience to prepare graduates for interpretive leadership roles at local, provincial, national, and international levels.
You'll gain expertise to create and oversee resorts, trail systems, and educational initiatives. You'll be prepared to craft, implement, and assess impactful programs that resonate with people while honoring your deep connection to our planet's extraordinary beauty.
Student must have:
OSSD with courses from the College (C), University (U), University/College (M), or Open (O) stream WITH:
- Any Grade 12 English (C) or (U)
OR
Academic and Career Entrance Certificate (ACE)
OR
Ontario High School Equivalency Certificate (GED)
OR
Mature Applicant with standing in the required course stated above
