Approved by the Law Society of Ontario (LSO), this program enables graduates to sit for the LSO licensing exam. Passing this exam allows graduates to join the LSO as certified paralegal professionals. Exclusive to Ontario, the paralegal field was created to offer cost-effective legal services and improve justice system accessibility for individuals dealing with provincial law charges or certain Criminal Code matters; people needing help with government bodies and tribunals regarding human rights, social benefits, immigration, or workplace injury claims; and those involved in rental disputes or small claims court cases.
