The Laboratory Technology (Analytical Chemistry) Program equips students for careers in diverse sectors including pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, environmental analysis, petroleum testing, quality assurance, government laboratories, and educational institutions. The program features hands-on laboratory training with instructors providing personalized guidance. Internships are integrated into the curriculum, with opportunities for paid work-study placements (known as Alternance Travail-Études) that allow students to gain up to six months of professional experience before completing their studies.
Program alumni typically secure positions as lab analysts, chemical research technologists, QC specialists, biochemistry technicians, or chemical engineering technologists - all fields experiencing strong demand for qualified graduates. Some graduates opt to further their education in Chemistry at university level, where they may receive advanced standing for certain Dawson coursework.
