Dalhousie's MSc Psychology program differs from conventional independent master's degrees. For our graduate students, it represents the initial phase of their journey toward earning a PhD.
We consider our master's program an integral part of the PhD curriculum. Students in our MSc Psychology program conduct experimental psychology research and typically progress directly into the PhD program after finishing their master's requirements.

- Four-year Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (B average) in the last 60 credit hours of study
- Degree granted by university of recognized standing
English language proficiency test score:

- Written TOEFL: 580
- MELAB: 85
- IELTS: 7
- CAEL: 70 with no band score lower than 60
- Dalhousie College of Continuing Education (CCE) : A-
- Pearson English Test PTE Academic: overall score of 65 and nothing below 54
