Students can choose to leave the program after two years without completing the Master's thesis requirement. Upon fulfilling the necessary criteria, they receive a Graduate Diploma in Orthoptics and Ophthalmic Medical Technology. Those pursuing the Graduate Diploma must initially apply for the MSc in Clinical Vision Science. They follow identical coursework, clinical training, and credit requirements as the Master's program. Participants may withdraw after meeting all academic and clinical obligations, excluding the Master's thesis research component. The program fees cover two years (six terms) of study.
Candidates must satisfy the general requirements for admission to the Faculty of Graduate Studies. Admission requirements for the MSc in Clinical Vision Science include a bachelor’s degree with honours or a bachelor’s degree with 4 years of undergraduate study from a recognized institution of higher education with a minimum of B average (GPA 3.0).

In addition, it is recommended that applicants should have at least one undergraduate class from the following list:

human anatomy
neuroscience

psychology

biochemistry
physics
It is also recommended that students have completed a course in research methods (e.g. statistics or research design).
