The PhD curriculum includes a foundational year of core classes followed by approximately three years dedicated to thesis research. These graduate courses (also available to MSc candidates) align with the educational requirements outlined by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics.
We foster innovation among our PhD candidates, starting with their dissertation projects. Doctoral research opportunities span therapeutic medical physics, diagnostic imaging, or interdisciplinary subjects.

The Medical Physics Graduate Education Committee reviews and ranks all prospective graduate student applications at the end of January for the upcoming academic year which begins in September.
