The Interdisciplinary PhD program caters to a growing demand from driven, accomplished students seeking research projects that span multiple academic fields. Some research integrates perspectives from two or three conventional disciplines, while other projects focus on inherently interdisciplinary areas like environmental studies, healthcare leadership, global development, or data management.
Applicants must have completed a Master’s degree which includes a significant research-based thesis as part of the program. Alternatively you may hold a non-thesis-based Master’s degree and present evidence of substantial independent research experience such as first-authored and peer-reviewed papers in the research literature. Applicants to have an average of least A-. Have a combined GPA of 3.70 or higher taking into account your Master’s degree and undergraduate coursework.
English language requirement:
Deadlines are February 1st for a September start or October 1st for a January or May start.
