The Faculty of Management provides one of Canada's rare compulsory commerce co-op programs, enabling you to acquire essential skills, obtain real-world experience, and establish professional connections before launching your career—all while receiving compensation.
You can either specialize by selecting a major or tailor your degree to align with your professional aspirations. The curriculum covers fundamental business areas including marketing, accounting, finance, management, and organizational behavior. Additionally, you'll develop crucial IT competencies by mastering spreadsheet tools, database systems, and other software for statistical analysis, financial forecasting, and market research.
Globally recognized for excellence, our Faculty of Management has earned AACSB International accreditation (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business). This prestigious recognition positions Dalhousie among the world's elite business schools, meeting international standards of quality.
Dalhousie hosts one of Canada's select accredited commerce co-op programs. The Commerce Co-op program maintains accreditation from Co-operative Education and Work Integrated Learning (CEWIL) Canada through December 2024. These accreditations confirm the program's robust and meaningful cooperative education framework.
