The field of neuroscience remains a dynamic and multidisciplinary research frontier. It combines elements of psychology, cellular biology, genetics, biochemistry, physiology, anatomy, and various life science disciplines to offer holistic understanding of brain structure and operations. Our neuroscience faculty operate in both educational and medical environments, enabling students to engage in diverse research initiatives across multiple specialties.

For those who prefer an intimate campus setting, you may begin your undergraduate studies at our Truro location. Following your initial year, you'll transition to the Halifax campus to finish the remaining three years of your program.

Qualification Requirements

Students must have

  • Completion of secondary school (Grade 12)
  • A minimum overall average of 70% in five academic Grade 12 courses
  • A final grade of at least 70% in Grade 12 academic English and any other required subject.

English language requirement:

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - 237 (computer-based) 90 (iBT) and no lower than 20 in each band
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) - 6.5 overall and no lower than 6.0 in each band
  • Michigan English Test (MELAB) ‚Äì 55
  • Pearson Test of English (Academic) - 61 overall and no lower than 50 in each skill
