The Mechanical Techniques Ontario College Certificate program blends classroom education with hands-on training and practical demonstrations. From the first semester, you'll apply your newly acquired skills to construct assigned projects. The curriculum covers mechanical practices, machine shop operations, welding techniques, engineering graphics, and industrial design. You'll not only gain foundational skills across multiple trade disciplines but also discover which skilled trade specialization aligns best with your interests. Program graduates qualify for entry-level roles in diverse trades such as Millwright, Industrial Mechanic, Machinist, Pipefitting, Plumbing, Welder-Fitter, and Sheet Metal Worker.
