Conestoga's Interior Decorating program provides a vibrant setting to cultivate both creative and technical abilities for success in the diverse interior design industry. Taught by seasoned professionals, you'll acquire hands-on skills through a mix of studio work, lab sessions, lectures, field visits, and guest presentations. The curriculum covers color theory, textiles, materials, and fixtures, supported by access to our extensive sample collection. Using up-to-date industry software, you'll master space planning, technical drawing, and both 2D and 3D visualization to transform your ideas into reality. Business strategy and entrepreneurial courses will equip you with essential industry knowledge. A final-semester internship offers valuable real-world experience, with many students landing permanent positions at design firms, kitchen/bath specialists, product showrooms, design publications, and home staging companies. This two-year diploma program holds accreditation from the Decorators and Designers Association of Canada (DDA), enabling students and alumni to connect with nationwide professionals and pursue advanced decorating education.
