The Computer Programming diploma is a two-year program tailored for students seeking to acquire current industry skills for business application development, with a faster completion time compared to the three-year Computer Programmer Analyst program. This curriculum focuses on developing problem-solving abilities using modern Microsoft, Java, and open-source technologies to create business and web solutions. Students gain expertise in object-oriented analysis, design, agile methods, and programming approaches throughout their studies.
The program blends theoretical learning with practical application, enabling students to implement their knowledge through hands-on tasks and complex projects. Supporting courses in mathematics, accounting, and communication complement the core IT curriculum. These competencies culminate in a final-year capstone project where students collaborate to develop a significant business application, giving them real-world exposure to the full software development lifecycle.
