This one-year certificate program provides students with a broad foundation in arts and sciences while offering the adaptability to consider additional educational pathways at the college or transfer to a nearby university. Participants will develop essential competencies in communication, analytical reasoning, and investigative skills while examining modern challenges in our interconnected world. Learners will choose a subject of personal interest to research, culminating in a comprehensive project, written paper, and portfolio presentation. The curriculum includes career exploration coursework to help students identify professional possibilities. Structured for academic flexibility, the program lets students tailor their studies by selecting courses in specific disciplines or choosing transferable credits to partner universities (course availability may vary). Upon completing the program, graduates can transition to the Two-year General Arts and Science Diploma, apply to other Conestoga College programs, or continue their education elsewhere.
