The Political Economy concentration at Concordia University of Edmonton provides you with essential analytical tools to examine Canada's pressing national and global issues. During your initial two years, you'll explore fundamental principles in political science and economics, while examining how markets and governments function in Canadian and international contexts. Your third year culminates in a capstone seminar where you'll tackle actual Canadian policy challenges, evaluating them and developing potential solutions.
Upon completing this program, you'll be prepared for advanced studies in law, education, or journalism, or to pursue graduate degrees in political science, economics, or international relations. Graduates can also explore career paths in various government levels (federal, provincial, municipal), private enterprises, or non-profit organizations.
