The Master of Arts in Educational Technology equips you for professional roles in training, education, and associated fields, such as instructional designer (developing educational programs), educational consultant (collaborating with educators to enhance teaching practices), educational technology specialist (assisting with technology integration in academic settings), and leadership positions overseeing these initiatives. The curriculum delves into creating instructional content and comprehensive strategies to enhance individual and organizational performance. Research methodology training guarantees data-driven design approaches, while coursework in learning theories ensures alignment with human cognition principles. Specialized classes cover production tools, game design, consulting, administration, and program evaluation to tackle practical challenges. The culminating experience—an internship for newcomers, a thesis-equivalent project for experienced professionals, or a research thesis for those pursuing academic paths—allows you to implement your skills with our extensive network of corporate, governmental, and community partners.
Note that this Educational Technology degree doesn't fulfill Quebec's elementary or high school teaching certification requirements. Prospective teachers must complete one of these undergraduate programs: BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education, BA in Teaching English as a Second Language, or BFA in Art Education - Visual Arts.
