The Graduate Diploma in Youth Work provides insights into diverse methodologies and practices within the field, blending contemporary youth development theories with hands-on clinical training. Students will acquire essential competencies to assist individuals aged 10 to 30 while experiencing multiple professional environments. Guided by experienced faculty, participants will explore various clinical methods for youth engagement, with particular focus on relationship-based, empowerment-focused, and psychoeducational strategies. Montreal's multicultural community presents unique opportunities to work with vulnerable populations including Indigenous youth and refugees, alongside programs addressing addiction and residential support services. Upon finishing the Youth Work program, alumni may apply their academic credits toward professional certification applications through Quebec's regulatory bodies, such as the Ordre des psychoéducateurs et psychoéducatrices or the Ordre des travailleurs sociaux et des thérapeutes conjugaux et familiaux du Québec.
