Qualification Requirements

Students must first meet general admission requirements at Concordia. Quebec: You must complete a two-year, pre-university program or a three-year professional DEC (Diplome detudes collégiales). CRC minimum requirements for admission vary between 19.000 and 30.000; however, based on space availability, students below this average may be considered. Other parts of Canada: You must be a high school graduate, depending on which province you are from. Applicant from other countries must have the requirements equivalent to Canada. Additional requirements: All applicants to the Certificate in Family Life Education program are required to submit a Letter of Intent with their Concordia University admission application. The letter should include: a statement of both your long-term and short-term goals; your reasons for choosing applied human sciences; your strengths and weaknesses as a candidate. The experiences you have had that led you to apply (including work and volunteer experience).Applicants are required to have the following courses as prerequisites for entrance into the program: AHSC 220, AHSC 230, AHSC 232. Mature entry students require the prerequisite ENGL 212. English language requirements: Direct Admission: TOEFL (paper-based) score between 540 and 576. Conditional Admission: TOEFL (paper-based) score between 505 and 539; MELAB minimum score of 74, 2 on speaking tests; CAEL minimum score of 50; CAE minimum score of C; CPE (advanced qualification for proficient users only) minimum score of C.
