The Finance program is highly competitive, equipping you with money management expertise and decision-making skills that shape the futures of businesses, communities, and investors. As a Finance student, you'll gain the ability to: Comprehend how money grows over time, Evaluate potential investments, Create diverse financing options, and Balance risk considerations for ethical wealth creation. You'll specialize in one of five finance concentrations—corporate finance, investments, financial institutions, derivatives, or international finance—through interactive lectures, case analyses, simulations, and hands-on learning. Our Co-op opportunities immerse you in your preferred financial sector. Two elite investment management initiatives—the Van Berkom Investment Management Program (VBIMP) and Kenneth Woods Portfolio Management Program (KWPMP)—allow exceptional students to oversee portfolios exceeding $2 million. The Honours in Finance option also lets you pursue academic research projects.
Graduates emerge prepared for diverse careers, from multinational corporate banking to philanthropic financial consulting, ready to secure clients' financial futures. Engage with active student organizations like the Finance and Investment Students Association (FISA) or John Molson Investment Society (JMIS), or compete globally through the John Molson Competition Program.
