The Combined Anthropology and Sociology program enables you to study cultural dynamics while developing research skills for comprehensive social science projects. Through analyzing societal challenges and transformations, you'll deepen your comprehension of issues like inequality, discrimination, criminal behavior, and social tensions. Our methodologies can be adapted to virtually any global context or subject area - ranging from healthcare, creative expression, and folklore to civil liberties, gender studies, legal systems, and authority structures. This interdisciplinary program prepares you to drive meaningful societal progress both locally and internationally.
The Cooperative Education option provides high-achieving students opportunities to transition between academic studies and professional environments through compensated employment placements. Participants graduate with enhanced career readiness, interpersonal competencies, and twelve months of practical work exposure.
Cegep Students: No specific courses are required beyond a DEC. Minimum Cut-off Averages;: Minimum cut-off averages should be used as indicators. The cut-off data may change depending on the applicant pool. Applicants who meet the stated minimum requirements are not guaranteed admission to these programs. Quebec Cegep (CRC): 22.000; Canadian High Schools: 72%; U.S. High Schools: 2.5; University Transfers: C; International Bacc. (IB): 27; Bacc. Français: 11/20. Make sure you also meet Concordia’s minimum admission requirements. Quebec: You must complete a two-year, pre-university program or a three-year professional DEC (Diplome detudes collégiales). CRC minimum requirements for admission vary between 19.000 and 30.000; however, based on space availability, students below this average may be considered. Other parts of Canada: You must be a high school graduate, depending on which province you are from. Applicant from other countries must have the requirements equivalent to Canada. English language requirements: Direct Admission: TOEFL (paper-based) score between 540 and 576. Conditional Admission: TOEFL (paper-based) score between 505 and 539; MELAB minimum score of 74, 2 on speaking tests; CAEL minimum score of 50; CAE minimum score of C; CPE (advanced qualification for proficient users only) minimum score of C.
