An Associate Degree covers the initial two years of a standard four-year university program. In British Columbia, universities guarantee 60 transfer credits for students who complete an Associate Degree, provided they meet each institution's specified grade point average (GPA) requirements. Graduates become eligible to apply for Canada's post-graduate work permit program.
The General Associate of Arts Degree offers students comprehensive exposure to liberal arts, serving as excellent preparation for advanced studies in General Arts or similar disciplines. This program features diverse Arts curriculum spanning multiple subjects rather than focusing on a single specialization. Students gain interdisciplinary knowledge across Humanities and Social Sciences fields such as anthropology, communications, criminology, economics, geography, political science, psychology, and sociology.
