True to its name, this program takes learning beyond the classroom into the breathtaking Canadian Rockies for practical, immersive experiences. While packed with adventure, it equally emphasizes essential business competencies for the tourism sector - covering entrepreneurship, marketing, sustainability, and professional development.
Our ATBO instructors are certified experts in diverse outdoor disciplines including avalanche rescue, rock climbing, mountain expeditions, whitewater kayaking, wilderness skiing, trekking, canoeing, and coastal kayaking. Choose between a one-year certification or extend your studies by 10 months for a diploma. Both pathways offer transferable credits toward a tourism degree and combine academic study, hands-on labs, field excursions, plus a six-week industry placement. Whichever path you select, prepare for an unforgettable adventure.
