The Education Assistant (EA) certification equips students for para-professional roles in education. Under teacher supervision, EAs assist students facing learning challenges in K-12 environments. This program develops essential competencies for collaborating within educational teams to facilitate inclusive learning for students with diverse needs.

CMTN's Education Assistant program incorporates Indigenous perspectives throughout its curriculum. It examines colonial impacts on Indigenous education systems in British Columbia and Canada, while exploring traditional child-rearing practices and how colonization affected family-school dynamics. A key focus is developing culturally responsive approaches to foster authentic connections with Indigenous learners, their families, and communities - central components of Coast Mountain College's EA program.
