The Energy Systems Engineering Technology (Co-op) (Fast-Track) program allows eligible college or university graduates to enter directly into the second year (third semester) of this three-year advanced diploma, enabling them to complete their Technology diploma in only four semesters. This engineering program focuses on equipping students with core competencies to comprehend energy and its applications in contemporary society, where evolving perspectives on energy and environmental concerns are reshaping the utility and construction industries. The utility sector's evolving operational approaches are creating opportunities for cutting-edge energy initiatives utilizing renewable sources like solar, wind, hydro, fuel cells, gas turbines, and biomass to supply power, heating, and cooling to residential and commercial properties. Simultaneously, the construction sector has embraced numerous green building strategies that are rapidly promoting sustainable, integrated architectural and engineering solutions for new developments. Manufacturers are introducing innovative products to facilitate sophisticated energy management in both commercial and residential buildings.
