Government policies shape nearly every facet of our daily existence. The choices made (or avoided) by governing bodies impact both the pace of climate change and our capacity to adjust. These decisions determine societal wealth distribution and economic disparities. They govern our opportunities for securing shelter, pursuing education, and receiving healthcare. Canada's international standing and approach to worldwide issues are also directed by public policies. Enrolled in the Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management (BPAPM) program, you'll explore the mechanisms and rationale behind governmental policy formation. You'll acquire expertise in governmental structures and policy evaluation techniques to actively participate in shaping decisions.
The BPAPM curriculum enhances your competencies by merging cross-disciplinary examination of civic systems with intensive policy studies. A blend of political science, economics, legal studies, communication, and historical coursework complements specialized policy classes. This integrated approach equips you with thorough insight into governmental, nonprofit, and corporate operations - their motivations, methods, and potential improvements.
