This program provides exceptional creative and technical education for Indigenous students pursuing careers in film and television production. Study under renowned Indigenous professionals at CapU's cutting-edge Bosa Centre for Film and Animation.
The demand for skilled professionals in Indigenous film and TV is increasing. Students from across Canada join our program to learn from seasoned Indigenous educators. The curriculum covers all aspects from screenwriting to cinematography and post-production, equipping graduates with industry-ready skills.
Program objectives
Showcase creative storytelling and analytical skills by developing treatments, outlines, and scripts for two short productions, along with a research strategy for documentary projects.
Demonstrate leadership and project management abilities by completing two final video projects, including full production documentation, while collaborating with fellow students as crew members.
Acquire foundational technical expertise in cinematography, lighting, audio, post-production editing, soundtrack creation, visual effects, and title design.
Compile and present professional portfolios, pitch three distinct story concepts in class, and prepare materials for festival applications and project proposals.
Implement Indigenous cultural protocols and industry standards throughout all production phases.

DET (Duolingo English Test) - 125 or higher with no sub-score less than 115.
