A single glimpse of island living reveals CBU's uniqueness—a dedicated institution committed to global betterment. Our legacy thrives on innovation and teamwork, driving us toward tomorrow.
CBU provides an engineering transfer program in partnership with Dalhousie University. Among select Associated Universities, CBU stands out by offering introductory coursework across all six engineering fields: civil, environmental, electrical, industrial, mechanical, and chemical engineering. Students complete the initial half of the four-year Bachelor of Engineering here before finishing at Dalhousie. The foundational year is uniform across disciplines, with specialization choices occurring afterward. Applicants must apply to both institutions simultaneously for their preferred field.
Dual registration at CBU and Dalhousie occurs in the second year, while the final two years are exclusively at Dalhousie.
An alternative pathway allows students to pair a BSc in chemistry or mathematics with the Engineering Diploma. This option involves an additional CBU year to finish the science degree before two final years at Dalhousie for the engineering qualification.
