A single glance at island living reveals CBU's uniqueness—a dedicated institution committed to global betterment. Our deep-rooted passion for innovation and teamwork shapes both our heritage and our forward momentum.
CBU provides an engineering transfer program in partnership with Dalhousie University. Among select Associated Universities, CBU stands out by offering introductory coursework across all six engineering fields: civil, environmental, electrical, industrial, mechanical, and chemical engineering. Students complete the initial half of the four-year Bachelor of Engineering here before finishing at Dalhousie. The program's first year serves as a foundation for all specializations, with students selecting their focus area before applying to both institutions for their chosen discipline.
Dual registration occurs in the second year at CBU and Dalhousie, followed by exclusive study at Dalhousie for years three and four.
An alternative pathway allows students to pair their Engineering Diploma with a BSc in chemistry or mathematics. This option involves an additional year at CBU to finish the science degree before two final years at Dalhousie to complete the engineering qualification.
