If you aspire to make a meaningful difference in young lives and shape developing minds through teaching, CBU's Bachelor of Education program can help you realize your professional destiny. This intensive 60-credit BEd program, starting each May and completed in just 15 months, provides future educators with essential skills, knowledge, and practical experience needed for teaching careers.
Candidates can choose between Elementary Education or Secondary Education pathways, both offering specialized training in curriculum development, instructional theory, and teaching methodologies. Alongside its emphasis on Education for Sustainability and Indigenous perspectives, the program features distinctive components including service-learning initiatives and professional development workshops.
Students gain valuable classroom experience through 18 weeks of practicum placements. Upon completion, graduates qualify for Nova Scotia teaching certification and can pursue licensure and employment opportunities across Canada or internationally.
