Camosun provides both academic and applied psychology courses, including introductory classes in interpersonal relations and counseling. Our focus is on equipping you with the knowledge and abilities needed to pursue university education or enter the workforce. The college offers a two-year Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology, comprising 20 courses that cover psychology, English, and various arts subjects. As an associate degree student, you'll receive quality academic guidance while following a structured yet flexible learning pathway. This program thoroughly prepares you for advanced post-secondary education should you choose to continue. Psychology courses can also be taken as electives to fulfill transfer requirements for other Camosun programs.
The associate degree is a two-year provincial credential consisting of 20 university-level courses. This standalone qualification can enhance your resume while serving as a stepping stone toward a full university degree. The program offers scheduling flexibility, allowing for full-time or part-time study throughout the year. Academic advisors are ready to help you select courses that align with your educational objectives, ensuring your choices meet the requirements of your desired university program.
Associate Degree students have opportunities for hands-on experience through Co-op placements or Internships. These work terms, which may be paid or unpaid, become available after completing at least eight courses.
