Mining engineering focuses on maximizing mineral resource extraction while reducing environmental effects. This field demands extensive understanding of both engineering and scientific principles. The UBC Bridge option runs from September to April. You'll begin third-year studies in UBC Vancouver's Bachelor of Applied Science program each September. After UBC admission, you can join the Co-operative Education program, where some technology diploma work terms may qualify for transfer between institutions. The Bridge program also offers an optional internship work term that's eligible for transfer.
