Prepare to become an essential part of dental care teams by mastering fundamental hygiene services including teeth cleaning, stain removal, whitening procedures, radiographic imaging, fluoride applications, dental sealants, sports mouthguard fabrication, patient referrals, and comprehensive oral evaluations and instruction. Your training will progress from working with dental mannequins to practicing on classmates, where you'll alternate between practitioner and patient roles.
As your expertise grows, you'll transition to treating community members at Cambrian's campus-based dental facility. Upon completion, you'll qualify to take the National Dental Hygiene Certification Examination (NDHCE) to become a licensed professional.
