The Master of Education (MEd) program equips students with thorough knowledge of educational theories while establishing core research competencies. Participants can select up to two specialized concentrations from five available options to focus their studies on particular areas of interest. Important to note: this program doesn't qualify graduates for the Ontario Certified Teachers designation, a prerequisite for teaching in Ontario's public school system.

Two reference reports (academic references preferred, but professional references accepted) A resume detailing educational background and professional experience A 500-800 word Letter of Intent that describes the applicant’s educational, professional and/or leadership experiences, community involvement (if relevant), reasons for applying to the program (including professional and/or academic goals), and area of interest (if known) Applicants who have not completed their undergraduate degree at a university where English was the primary language of instruction are required to provide proof of English Language Proficiency. These may be different than what the Faculty of Graduate Studies accepts (we do not accept the Duolingo; nor are requests for English language proficiency waivers considered). The Master of Education Course-based and Research Pathways accept: IELTS Academic -7.5 overall with no section under 7.0 TOEFL iBT- 102 overall with no section under 27
