The Master of Education (MEd) program equips students with thorough knowledge of educational theories while establishing core research competencies. Participants can select up to two specialized concentrations from five available options to focus their studies on particular areas of interest. Important to note: this program doesn't qualify graduates for the Ontario Certified Teachers designation, a prerequisite for teaching in Ontario's public school system.

Applicants who have not completed their undergraduate degree at a university where English was the primary language of instruction are required to provide proof of English Language Proficiency. These may be different than what the Faculty of Graduate Studies accepts (we do not accept the Duolingo; nor are requests for English language proficiency waivers considered). The Master of Education Course-based and Research Pathways accept:
