Brock University stands as the sole institution in Ontario providing a Master of Arts (MA) in Applied Disability Studies. The program offers two specialization tracks: Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) or Leadership, Diversity, Community, and Culture (LDCC). The ABA curriculum is officially recognized by the Association for Behavior Analyst International, fulfilling the coursework prerequisites for Board Certified Behavior Analyst® certification. Meanwhile, the LDCC specialization delivers advanced graduate training in critical domains for professional growth within the disability field. Beyond classroom instruction and practical internship experiences, the MA program mandates students to conduct original research and compose a thesis under faculty guidance. Admission is highly selective, with annual intake restricted to 6-10 new students across both specializations. This program primarily targets individuals aiming for research-oriented careers and doctoral studies.
