The Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies provides four-year degree options, including an Honours Bachelor's and a Major Bachelor's program in Recreation and Leisure Studies. Additionally, students can pursue a three-year Pass degree in this field. These programs equip graduates for diverse career opportunities within the leisure services industry.
The Community Recreation curriculum develops students' expertise, skills, and ethical foundation for leadership positions in community organizations. The coursework focuses on practical applications for public and non-profit environments, covering areas like organizational management, budgeting, promotion, program design, strategic planning, and data analysis. Special emphasis is placed on community building and addressing diverse needs, particularly for youth and underserved populations. Practical experience through fieldwork and community involvement is integrated across the program.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD);
Minimum six Grade 12 4U or 4M-level credits, including program specific prerequisites.
A minimum admission average of 70% (many programs require a higher average)
