The Computing and Business program is a four-year Honors course culminating in a Bachelor's degree, tailored for students passionate about computer science and its business applications. Given today's trends toward outsourcing and contracting computing services, professionals in this field must possess solid business knowledge and practices. These individuals require entrepreneurial abilities, as they frequently need to operate as independent consultants vying for contracts. This degree equips students to thrive in this competitive environment.
Our curriculum offers a distinctive grounding in business principles for tech professionals. It starts with fundamental classes in programming, data structures, and computer architecture, complemented by studies in accounting, management, and economics.
Applicants must have
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD);
Minimum six Grade 12 4U or 4M-level credits, including program specific prerequisites.
A minimum admission average of 70% (many programs require a higher average)
English proficiency requirements
IELTS - overall 6.5, no band below 6.0
TOEFL - overall 88, no band below 21
CAEL - overall 70, no band below 60
PTE - 58
IELP Level 5 - Successful completion of Level 5 of the Brock Intensive English Language program
CAE (C1 Advanced): 176 minimum score
CPE (C2 Proficiency): 176 minimum score
