Sociology questions widely accepted beliefs about our society. By critically analyzing social structures, interactions, and circumstances, sociologists rethink conventional wisdom about how the world operates and how people experience it.

Students of sociology learn to cultivate their sociological perspective to investigate intricate social systems, human connections, and societal challenges.

We offer three specialized degree paths that can be taken individually or paired with other fields. The honors program features optional focus areas in Applied Social Research and Data Analysis, Critical Animal Studies, or Criminology.
