The Centre for Canadian Studies provides a co-major option (allowing you to combine Canadian Studies with another discipline like History, English, French, Popular Culture, Geography, or Political Science). Learners may also select Canadian Studies as a minor to complement their primary degree program at Brock.
Located near the Canada-U.S. border in a historically rich area encompassing Indigenous heritage, settler history, and the pivotal War of 1812 that shaped Canadian identity, Brock's Centre for Canadian Studies serves as a perfect setting to examine the dynamic, complex ways Canadians perceive themselves and their global role.
Beyond gaining comprehensive knowledge about Canada, Canadian Studies students cultivate superior communication and research abilities, master interdisciplinary problem-solving techniques, and investigate both domestic and global viewpoints on matters impacting Canada and beyond. The program additionally offers chances to engage in regional and international conferences, along with potential study abroad opportunities through global partnerships.
