Our program stands out as distinctive. It's Canada's sole undergraduate degree that merges Earth Sciences expertise with communication abilities in a comprehensive four-year curriculum. Upon graduation, you'll grasp the scientific principles underlying critical global challenges like climate change, space research, and planetary resource management. You'll cultivate the ability to engage productively in scientific discourse across diverse sectors and professional environments.
Your coursework will mirror that of both Earth Sciences and Communications students. The initial two years establish foundational understanding in both fields. During upper years, you can select specialized courses aligned with your interests and engage in team-based initiatives.
In your final year, you'll integrate scientific understanding with communication proficiency. Advanced communication courses focus on specialized topics including environmental media, film and ecological studies, and data science applications. Through a culminating capstone project, you'll undertake guided research on a subject of your choice, presented in your preferred media format.
