The Carpentry Framing and Forming Foundation program prepares students for beginner positions in the carpentry field. Through fundamental theory lessons and practical workshop experience, participants develop proficiency in essential carpentry skills.
Carpentry professionals build, remodel, and maintain various structures including homes, public buildings, businesses, and industrial facilities using materials like wood, steel, and concrete. Employment opportunities exist with diverse organizations such as residential builders, renovation companies, construction businesses, property management firms, real estate developers, and government agencies.

Following initial training in general carpentry, professionals frequently focus on particular specialties within the field such as:

land preparation and site planning
concrete framework and temporary supports
structural framing with wood or metal
staircase and railing construction
interior and exterior surface treatments
door installation and window/cabinet fitting

BCIT Math Trades Entry Assessment

IELTS Academic - Overall score 6.0 No band less than 5.0.
TOEFL (iBT) - Overall score 82 No section score less than 19.
