The Political Studies program offers Honours, Major, and Minor options, giving students comprehensive grounding in key political science disciplines such as Canadian Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Political Philosophy. The curriculum is organized into seven sections: I) Foundational Introductory Courses, II) Canadian Government Studies, III) Political Thought, IV) Comparative Government: Global and Public Policy, V) Global Relations, VI) Empirical Analysis and Methodologies, VII) Honours Research Project, Independent Research, and Practical Experience.
Students pursuing Majors or Honours typically complete both introductory courses along with electives from each remaining division. This structure guarantees that graduates possess broad expertise across various Political and International Studies domains.
