The Department of Politics and International Studies provides these academic options: Bachelor's degrees with Honours, Major, and Minor specializations in Political Studies; Honours, Major, and Minor tracks in International Studies; plus Honours and Major programs in International Political Economy.
The Global Governance Concentration explores fundamental theories, key concepts, and contemporary challenges in global politics, covering topics like conflict resolution, peacekeeping operations, security studies, human rights advocacy, transnational corporations, ecological concerns, and worldwide economic integration.
Admission Requirements General: Completed secondary school credential that would permit you access to university in that country. If you are studying at or have graduated from secondary school in a country where secondary school finishes after only 11 years of formal schooling, you may not apply directly to Bishop’s University. You will need to complete at least one year of study at a college or university before applying to transfer to Bishop’s.
