Assiniboine's two-year Communications Engineering Technology diploma equips graduates with expertise in developing, producing, installing, and evaluating various communication technologies. Students gain the knowledge to assist in designing, improving, and maintaining communication systems including voice, video, data transmission, fiber optics, wireless networks, and Bluetooth technologies. This program prepares individuals for roles as engineering technologists in fields like CAD, electronic design and troubleshooting, software development, network architecture, communication system implementation, or project coordination. The curriculum concludes with students collaborating with industry partners to solve real-world challenges, offering hands-on experience while expanding professional connections for future employment prospects.
After completing two years of technical training, graduates can seek certification from The Certified Technicians & Technologists Association of Manitoba.
