This one-year Energy Management Ontario College Graduate Certificate equips you for a dynamic career in the evolving energy sector's shift toward sustainable practices.
Gain expertise in renewable technologies, sustainability initiatives, conservation methods, and demand-side management strategies. Engage in hands-on lab work, collaborate on practical projects, and examine real-world case studies from the energy management field. Throughout the program, you'll develop skills to implement, oversee, and improve energy management systems. By assessing data, analyzing renewable technology impacts, evaluating energy efficiency measures, and conducting cost-benefit analyses, you'll acquire valuable industry-recognized competencies.
In your final term, you'll team up with classmates and industry professionals on an energy management initiative. Through classroom collaboration, you'll design an organizational energy strategy and develop a compelling business case to justify your proposed solutions.
The program offers an optional paid co-operative education (co-op) opportunity for practical experience (see Additional Information). Availability of co-op positions depends on both program openings and academic performance. Admission to the co-op stream doesn't ensure placement.
Entry Requirements may vary from county to county, Applicants must have an Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma or Degree or equivalent.
Applicants with International transcripts must provide proof of the subject specific requirements noted above along with proof of either: IELTS -International English Language Testing Service-Overall band of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band; OR TOEFL-Internet-based (iBT)-overall 88, with a minimum of 22 in each component: Reading 22; Listening 22; Speaking 22; Writing 22.
