This two-year Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography equips you with the core theoretical foundations and hands-on technical abilities needed to generate, assess, and interpret cardiac ultrasound images.

As a vital non-invasive diagnostic technique, ultrasound helps examine the structure and function of internal organs. Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers work both autonomously and alongside medical professionals to acquire, process, and interpret diverse ultrasound scans. These visualizations support cardiologists in detecting and treating various cardiac conditions across all age groups.

Combining classroom instruction, simulated training, laboratory sessions, and comprehensive clinical rotations, the program teaches you to utilize sound waves for cardiac imaging. You'll learn to prioritize patient safety while implementing quality control measures for the appropriate clinical application of ultrasound technology.
