The Cyber Security Analysis (CSA) Ontario College Graduate Certificate program equips you with the expertise needed to address the growing need for cybersecurity specialists across both public and private organizations.
This program provides an analytical approach to core cybersecurity concepts, covering threat and vulnerability management, incident analysis, security compliance laws and ethics, cryptographic methods for data protection, cyber incident response, digital forensics procedures, disaster recovery, business continuity strategies, and relevant security tools. You'll gain the expertise to choose and implement the most effective security measures for diverse situations.
Upon completion, graduates will have both theoretical understanding and practical abilities to evaluate, suggest, deploy, and resolve complex security measures. Using IT methodologies, you'll assess technical components, risk factors of security implementations, penetration testing, and vulnerability analyses. Additionally, you'll study legal protocols for evidence collection, develop comprehensive corporate security policies, analyze potential risks, and explore ethical considerations in security practices.
Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma or Degree, or equivalent in the areas of Information Systems (IS), Information Technology (IT), Telecommunications/ Networking, IT/IS Security, Computer/Electronic/Communication Engineering or equivalent;
OR A Graduate Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree from an accredited institution in a non-related field, with minimum three years of relevant practical field experience in an IT/IS Security position may be considered;
Applicants with International transcripts must provide proof of the subject specific requirements noted above along with proof of either: IELTS-International English Language Testing Service (Academic) Overall band of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band. OR TOEFL-Internet-based (iBT)-overall 88, with a minimum in each component: Reading 22; Listening 22; Speaking 22; Writing 22.
