This one-year Accounting and Financial Practice Ontario College Graduate Certificate equips you with fundamental knowledge and skills to launch and progress in the accounting profession. The financial sector consistently requires junior and mid-level accounting professionals due to the diverse range of accounting and financial duties involved.
Throughout the program, you'll explore accounting methods that integrate modern technology across various business settings. Utilizing financial software and spreadsheet programs, you'll collect and evaluate financial data while preparing comprehensive reports.
By working through financial case studies and hands-on activities, you'll gain thorough understanding of financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, auditing, and finance. You'll master essential industry terminology, concepts, and tools needed for accounting careers. The program culminates with a capstone course that allows you to integrate and demonstrate all the knowledge and techniques learned during your studies.
Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma, Degree or equivalent.
English Language Proficiency Requirements:
IELTS-International English Language Testing Service (Academic) Overall band of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band; OR TOEFL-Internet-based (iBT)-overall 88, with a minimum of 22 in each component: Reading 22; Listening 22; Speaking 22; Writing 22.
Applications for Fall Term and Winter Term admission received by February 1 will be given equal consideration. Applications received after February 1 will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis as long as places are available.
