This two-year Game Art Ontario College Diploma program immerses you in video game production, focusing on the artistic creation of visual and technical game elements. Within a digital workspace, you'll craft cinematic environments, design compelling characters, and develop engaging levels that enhance player immersion. Master essential design techniques to conceptualize games and guide them through the production pipeline. Build storytelling abilities alongside artistic and technical expertise, with specialized training in product design, project coordination, game development, cinematography, and virtual production. Using game engines, you'll gain versatile skills for creating interactive digital worlds across various industries. Collaborating in teams, you'll analyze game mechanics and apply these insights to develop functional, playable games.

Qualification Requirements

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent.
  • Applicants with an OSSD showing senior English and/or Mathematics courses at the Basic Level, or with Workplace or Open courses, will be tested to determine their eligibility for admission; OR
  • Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) certificate;OR
  • General Educational Development (GED) certificate; OR
  • Mature Student status (19 years of age or older and without a high school diploma at the start of the program). Eligibility may determined by academic achievement testing for which a fee will be charged.
