The Master of Nursing program equips Registered Nurses with advanced practice skills tailored to diverse career trajectories. Through this program, you'll develop expertise in applying sophisticated nursing principles within your selected specialization, combining theoretical foundations with analytical reasoning.
This degree emphasizes equipping RNs with the competencies needed to achieve their professional objectives in either clinical or research environments. The curriculum covers healthcare diversity, evidence-based practice, and clinical leadership. Students can specialize in clinical leadership, clinical education, or tuberculosis management, enabling career advancement in their preferred area.
During the final study sessions, learners have the chance to implement their acquired advanced nursing knowledge through a targeted project or research initiative aligned with their career aspirations. The program offers flexible study options, including full-time or part-time enrollment, as well as distance or on-campus learning, designed to accommodate your current professional commitments.
Master of Nursing 1.5-year Pathway (120 credit points)
Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, or registration of nursing, within the last five years, in their own country. Any other type of registration (non-practicing, limited, or student) is not acceptable for this program
and
Completion of an undergraduate degree in nursing (AQF Level 7 or equivalent),
Master of Nursing 1 year Pathway (80 credit points)
Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, or registration of nursing, within the last five years, in their own country. Any other type of registration (non-practicing, limited, or student) is not acceptable for this program
and
Completion of an undergraduate degree, or higher, in nursing (AQF Level 7 or equivalent),
and
Two years full-time equivalent work experience as a registered nurse within the last five years.
Master of Nursing 1 year Pathway (80 credit points) - Tuberculosis Management specialisation
Registered Nurse currently registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, or registration of nursing, within the last five years, in their own country. Any other type of registration (non-practicing, limited, or student) is not acceptable for this program
and
completion of an undergraduate degree, or higher, in nursing or 5 years clinical experience specialising in TB within the last 5 years.
And
Two years full-time equivalent work experience as a registered nurse within the last five years.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 6.5 overall score (min 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL internet-based score of 82: Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): 58 overall; No communication skills less than 50.
