Along with offering instruction in standard mechanical engineering topics, the curriculum incorporates sustainability-focused studies like sustainable design and energy engineering. Students will graduate with versatile skills tailored to Australian industry needs while maintaining awareness of sustainable design principles. The program covers areas such as mechanical and machinery design, manufacturing processes, energy systems, and business management. These competencies are essential across diverse sectors including manufacturing, materials transport, automotive, aerospace, mining, building services, and infrastructure projects.
Applicants must have successfully completed a recognised four year undergraduate degree, or higher, in engineering in one of the specialisations, e.g. Civil, Environmental, Mechatronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Telecommunication.
Applicants seeking admission on the basis of work experience must support their application with a Statement of Service for all work experience listed on the application.
English Language Requirements:
IELTS: 6.5 overall score (min 6.0 in each subtest); TOEFL internet-based score of 82: Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13; Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE): 58 overall; No communication skills less than 50.
