This interdisciplinary program blends social and environmental sciences to equip students for careers promoting sustainable tourism, leisure, and recreation practices. Australia's natural landscapes play a vital role in these experiences, yet such activities often carry substantial environmental consequences. Through this major, students will develop skills to recognize, evaluate, and mitigate these ecological effects. The curriculum also explores how tourism economies can support environmental preservation while tackling worldwide challenges including climate change, forest loss, social disparities, and environmental contamination.

Successful completion of Global Assessment Certificate with a GPA of 2.3.
Successful completion of Year 12 with an ATAR of 60, successful completion of a recognised foundation studies program, 1 year of university studies or completion of a qualification equivalent to an Australian AQF Certificate IV.
2 years full-time study at a recognised postsecondary institution where the language of instruction is English.
